About This Image: Note the scale of this crashing wave as compared to the people standing in the lower left side of the scene. It is even more impressive when you realize that the lava shelf the wave is crashing over is probably 15 feet above sea level. This was an amazing display of the raw power of the surf as it slowly dissolves the alien lava landscape.
