About This Image: An alien globe defined by a solid rock frame, the melted tower and deformed shape of Turret Arch is visible from North Window. The clear, hot light of autumn morning gives a martian glow to the redrock.

The beauty of this scene of two holes in solid rock is somewhat like the experience of looking between two parallel mirrors, where reflected objects go on forever, exponentially smaller each time. I can almost imagine that the shape of the North Window would be seen again inside the larger of the two Turret Arches if I could see far enough into the distance to discern the detail.
